Q: I’m
not pregnant. Can I still attend classes?
A: You don’t have to be pregnant to attend any
of our classes, except for our childbirth class!
Q: Do I have to be a client of PSC to attend a
class?
A: No. Many young women and men who attend our
classes have been referred by other agencies.
Q: Can I bring a friend with me?
A: Absolutely! A parent or boyfriend is the
ideal person to bring along to classes, as these people are likely part of your
support network. However, only one support person may earn vouchers with you.
Our post-abortion recovery groups are the only exception to bringing a
friend with you. Due to the personal nature of this group, only individual
attendance is recommended.
Q: How many vouchers can I earn by attending
classes?
A: You can earn $5 -- $15 vouchers just by
attending a class; double that when your support person earns with you!
Q: Are
there other ways to earn vouchers, other than attending classes?
A: Yes! Simply participating in class can earn
you valuable vouchers. Other clients have earned vouchers by viewing video/DVD
series on various subjects, doing book reports or by offering themselves as
short-term volunteers.
Q: Can I still attend classes if I miss one
week?
A: Yes. The old saying goes, “You get out of it
what you put into it.”
Q: How long do classes meet?
A: Every class/group has its own schedule. Some
classes meet as few as one time, to as many as twelve times – and repeated
throughout the year.
Q: Do you offer classes at both PSC locations?
A: No. Classes and groups are offered at our
Main Campus only.
Q: Is there a cost to attend your classes?
A: All classes are free of charge.
Q: Is childcare available at your classes?
A: Childcare is offered only for our New Life
Childbirth Class and Bridges Parenting Class.
Q: Transportation is a problem for me. Do you
offer assistance?
A: We offer one-way bus passes. If you can find
transportation to our facility, we can offer a bus pass for your return trip
home.
